About Us

SD Co., Ltd, formerly SD production facility, was established in 1989 in My Tho City, Tien Giang province by teachers. Initially, SD factory operated on the campus of Bao Dinh Secondary School, My Tho city. By 1999, the factory was converted into a private enterprise SD with 40 workers and a factory campus of 300 m2.

Since 2004, SD moved into Trung An industrial cluster with 10,000 m2 of land and 7,000 m2 of factories. By 2017, due to the need to expand production, SD built its own factory in Quarter 3, Ward 9, My Tho City, Tien Giang and converted it into SD One Member Limited Liability Company.

SD's initial target market is kindergartens in Ho Chi Minh City and My Tho City. Up to now, SD-branded wooden toys and educational toys have been present in Vietnam's commercial centers such as Hanoi, Hai Phong, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City. Since 2000, SD's products have been exported to Japan, Taiwan, Korea and Singapore. In 2005, SD started to reach the European and American markets after registering CE safety marks for some of its products. Currently, most SD wooden toys are manufactured according to CE standards.

SD's products continue to be widely sold in stores across the country and exported to many demanding markets around the world, with the aim of bringing a healthy and safe childhood to children, as well as convenience for all customers.

OPERATION MOTTO
SD Co., Ltd was established by excellent teachers, with the original motto of manufacturing educational wooden toys for Vietnamese children. After more than 20 years of operation and non-stop development, SD still maintains its goal for Vietnam's education. Not only that, before the need to integrate with the world, SD has taken its operating motto to a new level:
 

SD WOOD TOYS - FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS

SD's initial line of business was wooden toys for the domestic market. Up to now, SD has been expanding to Asian markets such as Japan, Korea, Thailand; and are starting with more demanding markets such as the US and European countries.

Still using wood materials, SD's portfolio now includes not only children's toys, but also gifts and houseware. In addition, SD is developing souvenirs made of fruit trees of the Mekong Delta.

Not only growing in quantity, SD also sets goals on quality. By using well-treated wood and applying non-toxic paint in turn to all of its products, SD is aiming for sustainable development and building a healthy toy culture.

DEVELOPMENT HISTORY

♦ 1989: Built SD factory in the campus of Bao Dinh Secondary School, My Tho City, Tien Giang Province

♦ 1994: Established SD Private Enterprise with 40 workers and 300 m2 of factory

♦ 2004: Expanded scale and moved into Trung An industrial cluster with 10,000 m2 of land and 7,000 m2 of factory

♦ 2000: Started exporting wooden toys to the international market

♦ 2004: Received the GOLDEN V Industrial Design Innovation Award by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry

♦ 2005: Received the G MARK Beautiful Design Award from the Japan Design Association

♦ 2008: Expanding typical products of Tien Giang province, using wood materials from fruit trees in the garden

♦ 2009: Expanding 1,000 m2 of factory

♦ 2010: Participated in the B2B event of the Danish Consulate to promote trade cooperation between Vietnam and Denmark. Under the impact of the program, SD has invested in building more Executive House and Showroom.

♦ 2011: Invest in ecological technology to ensure occupational safety and health and protect the environment

♦ 2012: Achieved ISO 9001:2008 quality standard

♦ 2013: Putting the wastewater treatment system into operation, with a capacity of 16 m3/day and water quality reaching column A according to QCVN 40:2011/BTNMT standards. Inaugurated a closed and chemical-free wood drying workshop.

♦ 2017: Expanded scale, moved the factory to Quarter 3, Ward 9, My Tho city, Tien Giang province. Currently, SD factory has an area of 8,000 m2 in a 2-hectare campus.

♦ 2018: Transforming business form from SD Private Enterprise to SD One Member Limited Liability Company.

♦ 2021: Transforming business form from SD One Member Limited Liability Company to SD Company Limited.
